My work is about beauty. The beauty of forms - womanly and botanical. Mothering and growing. I am inspired by the gargantuan strength of the female form and spirit, as well as the boundless gorgeousness and flamboyance of the earth fruits. A certain beautiful ugliness is what I am obsessed with - and I draw it, photograph it, paint it, write it, dance with it and scribble it. There is an urgency to what I am creating, a liveness, an attempt to embody this movement and capture the light - I like to dance with a pen, pencil and paintbrush and be still; quiet and listening - with the camera.

I am inspired by the physicality of colour, light and sound, and I endeavour to capture the sensuality of being, rooting - into the land in which we experience.

I am an artist, photographer and teacher based in Southend-on-Sea.
